About Hocus Potions

Hocus Potions creator, Michelle, has worked with children for over 20 years! Over this time, and through further study, Michelle has developed her knowledge of childhood development and has observed first-hand how children like to engage and play with certain materials, particularly sensory activities.

Potion play is a fun, mindful, sensory activity for children which is hands on and encourages a connection to nature. Importantly, the magic which occurs during potion play also builds on other areas of childhood development, such as fine motor skills (pouring, stirring and mixing), turn taking, imaginative play and more.

Handcrafted Magic with Love and Nature

Here at Hocus Potions we care very much for Mother Nature and every effort is made to use products that are environmentally friendly. We are continuously exploring new ways to reduce our carbon footprint such as transitioning to the use of Eco Glitter which is made from plants, not plastic, and is Eco-Friendly. We also use recyclable, reusable, or compostable materials for our packaging. Our potion ingredients come in reusable bottles and jars which children can use to store their magical concoctions in.

All our potions are hand made with love from our studio in NSW Australia and we ship magic making potions and accessories worldwide.
